I would like to learn Java. I used Java a little bit almost 10-11 years ago.

Is there any framework? Is it plain Java?

I would like to know more.

Would you consider some tactical changes? Maybe some code conversions to Kotlin? Straight up java I dont have a taste for, but modernizing and improving,  I might be convinced.

Re: Any ETA on Production Release 6.08?

Andrew Maitland

Howdy,

I tried to release RC5, but no dice. Which is annoying when my tools are acting up...

The community has been overwhelmingly reporting various bugs that the team is trying to patch before we release the final production of 6.08.00.

Next week I'm free from the burdens of study and schooling, which should free up some time to tackle the advanced bugs and then I'll work on the next release.

Cheers,

Andrew

Are there plans to support the Genius Guide to the Talented Bestiary?

yotam1703@...

For those who don't know, it is a book by Super Genius Games that details how to give stats to your homebrew monsters.
My question is, is it of the sort of things that are supported by PCGen?

Robert Singers

I've tested all 5e templates.  None of them work if a spell has been added to prepared spells or a spellbook.  Furthermore if I first added spells to prepared spells, I was not able to add them to a spellbook.  The spellbook just did not show under the spellbook tab.

Also under 5e, cantrips are not written in a spellbook.  I don't think it's an issue that PCGen adds them but they are consuming a page count.

Re: Did Windows 10 Installation of 6.08.00 RC3 Include An Uninstaller?

Last time I worked on the installer it was using a single key in the registry not tied to version.

Maybe that was changed afterwards.

Since uninstalling RC3 I have started RC4. It appears to run just fine...although I have not tested it thoroughly.

And many times in the past I've had multiple releases of PCGen on my computer (all installed via the Windows installer) and I have been consistently able to launch any of them.

So do I still need to reinstall RC4?

Thanks, everyone!

Most likely you need to reinstall the newer version since it overrides registry values when you install a version.
