Did you load the Paths of the Righteous source? Rose Warden is there. You have to meet all the prereqs, including follows ng Milani (Inner Sea Faith's)

Wow, a very well written assessment that hits all the points.

@Paul you should recruit Steven to the PR team!

As a long-time developer with the project, I concur with Steven. PCGen does a lot, it takes abuse and for the most part we include most of the mainstream books. However, you get what you pay for in terms of support. Only a handful of us are around to kick the tires and grease the rails.

If you want something included, the best  bet is to ask for help and give it the old college try first.

Yes, it is still kicking along as a project, but at the pace of the available volunteers, which is not much... But hey, if more people join up and contribute anything could happen.

For those who love the bleeding-edge, or those who cling to the little box of stapled booklets, it is no doubt disappointing. Trying to cram every single source ever thrown together by anyone will absolutely break it. Stripping it down to the basre essentials sometimes produces unexpected results---the "where did that come from" effect.

Sometimes things break. Usually, the guys fix them. Sometimes, that takes a little time.

As far as cost-benefit analysis goes, if you're not one of the half-dozen people pouring their life into the project, it is an insane bargain. You won't find anything else that can do what PCGen does for an ask.

Working the edges can put some burden on the GM---using unusual classes or combinations of classes can sometimes find a seam in the code. But usually, PCGen can take a remarkable amount of abuse and still kick out a character sheet with good numbers on it.

Like many old-timers, I have evolved my own system. All I had to do to make it work was beat on the source files---not trivial, but not Nemean Lion, either---and the engine cranks out my character sheets. I have an "additional" save (I call it Clarity), I use a To Cast roll for Spellcasters, and I rationalised the number system (being a wargamer at heart). PCGen took it all in stride.

Hope that helps.

Oops. Sorry about that. Pathfinder 1e, PCGen 6.08.00 RC8.

Allen,

When asking for assistance, it helps if you include the Game System you are working in, and the PCGEN version number.

Re: [Templates] Languages and .CLEAR

Nobody responded to this?

Depending on the game system, it should be much easier to stop the default common language

What Game System is this for?

Okay, so this is my first post here and I'm trying to figure out how to remove the Common language from the Human race entry by creating a Template that either removes only Common or a template that removes all automatic languages. Now, this could be for any race if I can get the one for just removing Common to work, but it doesn't seem to matter what I do, the template won't remove the language.

Here are the two templates

Remove All Langs <tab> KEY:Remove All Auto Languages <tab> VISIBLE:YES <tab> LANGBONUS:.CLEAR
- Now after reading a bit on here, I'm thinking it should be .CLEARALL not .CLEAR

Remove Common <tab> KEY:Remove Common Language <tab> VISIBLE:YES <tab> PRELANG:1,Common <tab> LANGBONUS:.CLEAR.Common

Thoughts?

Cheers!

New Automated release process, please try #releases

Paul Grosse

One of our new code volunteers worked with Andrew on getting the releases automated. Before it was taking 12+ hours to make a build, and was vary labor intensive. So going forward we will have better releases, AND Mac builds (there is still a bug with the PKG build though)!

Anyone want to test the automated release? I see a Mac DMG, Linux and of course Windows. Let us know if these work!

Release 6.09.05

Nicholas Hart

Hi there,
Not sure if I should post this here or in the Jira.

I saw that there was a new release and decided to play around with it. I currently am having two issues.

1) When going to choose skills, the box showing how many ranks you have in that skill does not fill in unless you click inside of it. It just shows up as a gray bar. Also not all skills show up in the preview window.

2) Living grimoire spell casting still does not work correctly. It now no longer says, "[NOT IMPLEMENTED]" in the description of spell casting but it still does not give the correct number of spells and says it is using WIS not INT. I know when I last put in about this, the response was that it is a not fun coding issue to solve so if I should just stop trying to make one on here that is fine as well.

PCGen file attached.

Re: PCGenv6.08.00 RC8 - possible #bug

As Brian said, as well as the rules, Paladins are Lawful Good.  Even in 2e, Paladins (or, rather, Champions) have to be on the extreme sides of moral alignment (i.e. there are LG, NG, CG, LE, NE, and CE Champions).  I *think* there was a version in D&D 3.5 that allowed for other "paladins," but even then it was in an extension.  Unearthed Arcana, I think.  *checks*  Sorry, not quite correct.  Unearthed Arcana creates three new Paladins to suit the four 'corners' of the alignment axis - the Paladin (of Honor) [LG], the Paladin of Freedom [CG], the Paladin of Tyranny [LE], and the Paladin of Slaughter [CE].  There's also the anti-paladin, which exists in all three variants.
